UAT Tester
Need 3-4 year exp
Location: Providence, RI

Notes:
Candidates do not have to be local but must be willing to relocate as there is no remote work
Candidates must be able to pass a background and drug screening

Description:
We are looking for a candidate that will work closely with systems and business analysts to design and document system test plans and user documentation. This position will require experience in some optimum combination of mainframe and web server environments, depending on skills and expertise
This role will work closely with technical team leads, state team and quality assurance staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of system modifications
Must haves:
1. 2+ years testing experience in one or more of the following: Mainframe, client server, and/or web technologies (UAT testing)
2. JIRA OR GAMMA
3. Microsoft Excel
NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN
1. Natural/ADABAS software development background

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2 years of experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Experience using industry-standard COTS tools (MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint) to support excellent communication
2 years testing experience in one or more of the following:
Mainframe, client server, and/or web technologies;
Strong understanding and experience with change management and quality assurance procedures in system development, maintenance, and transition activities;

Preferred Qualifications –
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Experience with and knowledge of human services programs, Eligibility/Benefits Programs
Experience with Affordable Care Act systems
Experience with JAMA/JIRA
Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Understanding of systems design and development processes
Testing on large scale, mission critical systems
Experience in quality control and IV&V for developing web-based applications and/or mainframe
Experience with structured testing, reporting, and issue management
Programming analysis and support in an IBM CICS ADABAS environment using COBOL and Natural programming languages on an MVS/zOS platform
