JOB TITLE: Tools Engineer – ALM
Location – Auburn Hills, MI
JOB SUMMARY
Expert in administering IBM CLM tool suite inclusive of global implementation, version upgrades, configuration and customization to enable seamless product development and v cycle traceability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform tool administration
Manage work item types, project areas, and artifact types
Configure source control management to enable product release
Work with engineering teams systems, software, VnV to implement IBM CLM tools across v cycle – DNG, RTC, RQM, RDM, JRS, GCM, and Rhapsody
Implement development lifecycle traceability
Design work item templates
Define process and workflow
Develop customization using java scripts and eclipse plugins for work item management
Develop tool integrations with custom tools
Develop training materials, user guides
Provide classroom and on-the-job trainings
Manage sprint backlogs
Perform sprint planning
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in computer or electrical/electronic engineering. Master’s degree desirable
At least 3 years in automotive domain with good experience setting up and maintaining Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) engineering tool chains
Strong design, development and debugging skills in embedded software development
Experience working on large projects using IBM CLM tools configuration, Eclipse plugin development, Core java
Strong experience on creating custom tools and utilities that assist with tools rollout
Extensive customer interaction, sometimes leading customer workshops and technical interchange meetings
Strong experience on IBM CLM tool administration; Experience in Eclipse based application, XML parsing/creation
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Certifications in IBM CLM certification
Proven expertise exercising of industry best practices, Automotive SPICE, AUTOSAR, and related process areas
Experience in RESTful web service, OSLC based development
Good written & verbal communication skills
Displays gregarious, “can-do” positive attitude
Proven aptitude for conveying complex information in non-technical terms
