Required Skills:
A minimum of six (6) years of experience in User Acceptance Testing.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in development of automation scripts using Selenium, Selenium Web Driver, QTP, Python, etc.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in writing SQL queries with strong knowledge of database concepts.
Experience in developing automated scripts for RESTful services and integrating them with Jenkins/GIT.
Experience in testing websites across multiple browsers, testing web-services, back-end processing and data validation utilizing SQL/Oracle.
Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) related functions.
Proven experience working effectively and collaboratively with stakeholders from multiple functional teams of the organization.

Preferred Skills:
A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a JAVA/Web application tester on complex and dynamic, multi-agency technology projects within the healthcare industry.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the development of automation scripts using Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, QTP etc.
Experience with the functional aspects of Maryland Health Benefit Exchange system or any State Based Marketplace (SBM) systems.
Experience in testing EDI 834 and Medicaid 8001 transactions.
Familiarity with SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Hands-on experience in backend database testing on DB2, SQL, PostgreSQL or any other enterprise database systems.
Demonstrated strong technical testing skills using SQL to perform complex DB queries.
Experience with defect -tracking/management tools such as JIRA.
Demonstrated experience with industry standard Quality Assurance best practices for Agile and Iterative SDLCs, testing methodologies, version control systems, implementation, and deployment activities.
Experience in mobile testing, system testing, data warehouse migration testing, data integrity testing and data transformation related testing.

Description: The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) created a website and call center operating under the name Maryland Health Connection (MHC Through MHC, Maryland residents explore health insurance plans, compare rates, and determine their eligibility for advanced premium tax credits (APTC), cost sharing reductions (CSR) and public assistance programs such as Medicaid and the Maryland Children’s Health Insurance Program (MCHP
MHBE seeks up to two (2) Testing Specialists (Automation Testers) to provide User Acceptance Testing and related services for the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (HBX) system.

Responsibilities:
Translate verbal and written requirements/functional specifications into effective test cases/scenarios in order to conduct integrated, scenario-based User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of a complex healthcare system.
Create test cases for testing business applications to verify functional requirements are incorporated into the system design.
Apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automation testing frameworks.
Develop testing strategy for cross browser, 508 and mobile testing.
Develop and identify test data for test scenarios.
Execute test cases and document results of the execution.
Document defects identified during test case execution and work with developers to resolve the defects.
Create a test plan and a test calendar to coordinate testing and establish time lines for successful completion.
Hands on experience with performance testing techniques such as performance modeling, establishing baselines, services monitoring, and profiling system performance.
Experience with using performance tools and techniques to simulate large enterprise environments, such as JMeter, Gatling, BlazeMeter or similar tools.
Work with stakeholders and management to resolve issues and validate requirements within their specific areas of responsibility.
Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews of test cases, test plans, and test case execution results.
Note: The candidate must have the flexibility to work overtime, as needed, to include weekends, holidays, and off-hours.
