JOB POSITION: Testing Architect

JOB LOCATION: Remote

JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of this new testing services practice, you will be responsible for:
Delivery of Testing projects assigned
Coordinate the overall test process design, including test strategy and plans, for system testing, integration testing, test automation and performance testing
Liaison with the key stakeholders to sell testing services to our clients
Help build new testing services & offerings
Manage the client(s) relationship, progress tracking and status reporting
Build and deliver Test Automation Solutions for clients
Build and deliver Performance Test Solutions for clients.
This role requires strong testing skillsets, technical aptitude, creative thinking, and ability to operate in a highly matrixed organization that is extremely high paced.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Test Planning, Management & reporting

Delivery of Testing projects assigned working with local and remote teams.
Manage the client(s) relationship, progress tracking and status reporting
Collaborate with the development and configuration management team for deployments to test environments
Develop testing plans that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error, defect retests, and usability
Put together a plan, strategy and framework for test automation and performance testing for assigned projects and applications
Plan test effort and test schedule in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
Conduct and or participate in test team and project meetings to ensure business and IT testing expectations are met, and test deliverables are traceable to business requirements
Analyze changes that span across applications and functional areas to ensure all impacts have been identified for testing
Prepare and analyze test results document to aid in problem solving and facilitate decision-making
Partner with development, testing support teams, business users, and IT to ensure testing deliverables are reviewed and approved by key stakeholders
Participate as project test lead from inception through completion for projects
Contribute to the establishment and adherence of software testing guidelines and standards as defined by the project and/or organization requesting testing services
Lead and coordinate testing with off-shore resources as assigned
Mentor assigned team members
Allocate tasks to team members, manage their priorities, workload, and capacity
Capture, generate and report testing metrics & status reports for assigned team to management
Enter and track all daily activities using status tracking tools and metrics as required

Build testing Solutions, support Pre-Sales
Liaison with the key stakeholders to sell testing services to our clients
Help build new testing services & offerings
Review and ensure all applicable changes are documented appropriately through Change Control Process; assess the impact across deliverables within a release and to in-flight and/or upcoming deliverables
Prepare test documentation that supports scheduled releases
Create test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, procedures and other test deliverables based on the project requirements
Process Improvement
Develop, specify and follow standards, methods, and procedures to determine product quality or release readiness
Remain current on relevant best practices to support testing
Help with building and improving testing artefacts and templates
Identifying, analyzing and developing improvements in productivity, quality, client relationships, and customer service.
Manual and Automated Test Case Creation

Understand the requirements and create proper test cases, test data and regression test bed
Participate in requirement and design reviews and perform testability assessment
Build knowledge of ERP systems and client specific implementation details in a complex fast paced environment without any support.
Participate in Requirements and Design reviews provide feedback and ask right questions to be able to document good test cases.
Provide Walkthrough of the test cases to Client and key stakeholders on the Test cases
Build Test Automation Solutions for clients
Build Performance Test Solutions for clients.
Document test procedures to ensure compliance with standards
Document System, System Integration End to End testing and Regression Test cases.
Review and provide feedback to fellow team members on their test cases.

Manual & Automated Test Execution
Leverage automated test scripts for test execution
Identify, analyze, document and report problems with software functionality, output, online screens, and content
Perform debugging procedures by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code pieces to determine breakdown source
Utilize defect management tool to log and track all defects identified during testing
Reproduce, validate fixes and analyze root cause of issues reported from user acceptance testing
Participate in Defect triage meetings
Follow up with development team and client to resolve identified defects and retest.
Execute System, System Integration End to End testing and Regression Testing
Learn new test automation and performance test tools based on need.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field
Minimum 10 years’ experience in software testing
Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading Testing teams
Preferably 2 to 3 Years of Automated Testing of enterprise software services experience
Preferably 2+ Years of Automated Testing in Cloud / SaaS enterprise software implementations
Preferably 2 to 3 Years of ERP/CRM Industry experience.
Intermediate level experience writing PL/SQL queries
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent understanding of software testing methodology, processes and tools
Hands on experience with test automation tools like Selenium, UFT or QTP, Load Runner/Storm Runner/Performance Center, JMeter.
