Position Description
End to end iUAT support as directed by management, which includes supporting incident management, change management, server upgrade, patching, security, change implementation, data modifications, application shakeouts, and disaster and recovery exercises in the UAAT environment.
Provide support for Strategic Initiative (SI) portfolio related applications production support activities.
Execute, monitor and report on status of portfolio related daily/monthly/adhoc processes. Verify the inbound & outbound interfaces are consumed and/or delivered.
Identify areas of improvement to enhance the performance of the executions by automating the execution where possible.
Create and maintain knowledge articles.
Acknowledge the ticket and assign them to appropriate resource. Verify that ticket details have been entered and Incident is resolved as per client standards
Provide regular ticket metrics and reporting
Follow change management process to create change tickets to draft the operational changes and execute Operational changes in the iUAT environment. These operational changes should be tested in lower environment and should have appropriate approvals in place.
Work with platform teams and support Infrastructure changes, for example server upgrades, patching, OS upgrades etc.
Track and manage the defects by creating problem tickets and following up with the development/L3 team.
Verify portfolio related applications are compliant on monitoring activities (Tripwire, Guardium etc
Staffing flexibility and scalability to provide 24 x7 on premise support and timely response to customer requests.
Verify adherence to monitoring standards.
Assist in application shakeouts during infrastructure and software upgrades.
Perform triage and trouble issues and facilitate root cause analysis follow-ups for production Incidents.
Fulfill adhoc requests for reports and execution from Business.
Manage incident and change management activities partnering with Client Production Support and Development teams and other project stakeholders.
Skillset
Experience in testing Web, SOA/WS, DW/ETL, JAVA/J2EE applications
Experience in performance test design, development, execution and analysis
Familiarity with performance tuning
Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development models
Experience in performance tools: HP Performance Center/LoadRunner, JMeter
Proficiency in monitoring tools: HP SiteScope and Dynatrace APM, JProfiler
Experience in programming languages: C, Java, JavaScript
Strong SQL skills in Oracle
Strong skills in Unix commands and shell scripting
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills
Technical Skillset:
Required : UNIX, Autosys, Informatica (2-3 years)
Nice to have: Netezza (1-2 years
1) Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
2) Professional certification(s) desired
