The Test Lead will work closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst with the review and validation of requirements deliverable's and managing risks. The Test Lead will be responsible for the planning and execution of quality assurance testing to identify, reproduce, and report defects in software. The Test Lead will be responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. The solution should be tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Review and comment on project documentation from the business to ensure completeness and quality documentation
Lead the development of Test Strategies and Plans with functional team, tester, BAs and Project Manager.
Lead the development of test cases/scripts, test case execution, and validation of results
Lead the development and execution of the problem reporting process
Interact with other team members and business partners to ensure quality solutions
Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance
Coordination, scheduling, review and assessment of certification and overall enablement with Vendor staff and contractor
Rollout go/no go recommendations to state resources
Required Skills and Education:
Years of Relevant Experience: 10 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study.
High Level of proficiency of MS-Office and JIRA
Experience conducting/participating in requirements sessions
Ability to work with teams to include: Business Analyst, Testers, Developers, and IT staff to ensure full coverage of business requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Effective writing skills to communicate to customers and internal team members
Ability to maintain own workload and meet deadlines
Confidence working through testing issues
