Title: Test Engineer (Portal)
Duration: 6 months Contract to hire
Location: Baltimore, MD
Must have: CMS (centers for Medicare and Medicaid services) and healthcare OR State Govt experience.
Position Description:
The Portal API Engineer will provide testing support to the Program''s mission of designing and building an innovative, cost-effective, and efficient Enterprise Portal System. The Portal Test Engineer will be responsible for manual and automated testing of releases during work and non-work hours and creating and maintaining test cases and test documents.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Performs functional, regression, of RESTful services using automation testing during the releases
· Responsible for creating and updating all portal test cases
· Reports software defects via JIRA bug tracking system and performs bug verification testing
· Maintains Enterprise Portal automation framework design and execution document
· Conducts peer reviews of test cases and test documents
· Maintains automation scripts; ensures scripts run daily and follow up if errors are found
· Creates Quality Center (QC)/ALM dashboard reports and updates QC ALM with automation test cases, test results and generates graphs
· Ensures automation smoke scripts run smoothly for a number of environments and browser combinations
· Maintains and executes smoke and regression scripts by adding new features and updating/fixing existing features due to requirements/environmental changes
· Perform 508 testing
Required Education and Experience
· Bachelor''s degree
· 10 to 12 years’ experience as a Test Engineer
· Must have a developer background
· Must have experience with CURL and HTTPie tools
· Proven experience in testing RESTful services
· Proven experience developing automated scripts for RESTful services and integrating them with Jenkins/GIT
· Experience working within Agile teams
· Detail oriented, with strong follow-up skills to ensure completion of tasks (e.g. ability to track failed test cases and ensure that the technical resolution is complete and re-tested
· Experience in test automation tools such as selenium.
· Experience in defect tracking tools such as JIRA and Quality Center.
· Experience developing testing documentation, such as Test Summary Reports and requirements traceability reports

Bachelor''s degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, software engineering or related field
CMS or healthcare industry
