Job Description :
We have an immediate requirement for Test Development Engineer position in Sunnyvale, CA.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with other developers on the World Wide Operations Technology Development team to develop and support configuration stations that are used in Manufacturing.

Typical day to day tasks would include:
· Owning a station or stations: being responsible for there on schedule delivery, that they meet desired cycle time, with acceptable retry and fail rates.
· Helping to debug issues with stations and drive resolution of same. This would involve working with other teams within client, e.g. Hardware, OS, BootROM, etc. and also working with vendors on cables, fixtures, etc.
· Development of station software, mainly in Objective C
· Helping to setup instances of and support stations
· Traveling to manufacturing sites (mainly China) to deploy, support and debug stations

This position would seem well suited to someone who is a good programmer and has a background in manufacturing / test engineering.


Core Technical Skills / Experience:
· 5 years plus experience in a development environment working with the technologies listed below
· Object Oriented Design
· C, C++, Objective C
· Experience debugging complex applications (e.g. using GDB)
· Unix
· XML, JSON
· Experience working in all stages of the development lifecycle, requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing and support.
· Multithreading programming
· Network Socket programming

Preferred Technical Skills / Experience:
· In depth knowledge of Macintosh Hardware and Software technologies
· Previous experience of working with high volume manufacturing
· Version Control System (CVS, Subversion, etc
· Perl scripting
· Python
· UI Design
· Networking
· Basic Electronics
