Teradata and Vertica TFL (5-12 yrs)
- Clear understanding of Teradata architecture
- Good Experience in scripting (preferably Python)
- Very strong in Teradata programming and optimization techniques
- Hands on experience in Stored Procedures, Bteq, Teradata utilities like TPTExport / TPTLoad / fastLoad etc
- Strong Data warehouse concepts
- Experience creating technical designs
- Good unit testing and integration test strategies
- Familiarity with Hadoop and enthusiam to learn new technologies
- Excellent communication skill in terms of both verbal and written
- Experience in leading small to medium projects
Vertica or columnar DB
- Sound Knowledge of Vertica / columnar DB Architecture
- Hands-on implementation with at-least two E2E Vertica / columnar DB Implementations
- Experience in Performance Tuning in Vertica/ columnar DB
- Strong Data Migration experience from Oracle, Teradata to Vertica / columnar DB
- Database Exposure to DBA specific activities for Vertica
Secondary Skills:
*Eloquently interact with Clients, understand requirements for Architectural Proposals
- Effectively translate Client requirements to System Framework Design Plan
- Effectively Design, Develop, Test and Roll-out Projects with intense Data Warehousing concepts & tools
- Proficiently analyze data and expand on knowledge on Apple’s data over time
- Efficiently manage priorities and organize project deliveries & tasks in an agile and demanding environment
- Effectively work in a Multi-vendor environment across cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Be on a constant lookout for growth of TCS presence by identifying Biz. Opportunities or innovating Biz solutions through technical excellence.
