Job Description:
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills :
10 plus year’s experience in computer technology or related fields within the last 12 years.
Must have 8-10 years Teradata experience working as a production infrastructure, application or development DBA
- responsible for project planning
-ability to lead the team
-perform code reviews
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office components and personal computers (for
generating the many reports required by the customer
Teradata Masters Certification Teradata 14 or greater. Must)
Excellent problem solving skills with demonstrated experience managing and resolving work requests and change requests

Demonstrated knowledge of Teradata tools and utilities, specifically:
Database Administration-Viewpoint
Teradata Administrator, BTEQ
Teradata Database Query SQL Administration
Teradata SQL Assistant
Teradata Database Query Log
Roles and responsibility :
Interaction with business representative.
Advance knowledge of Teradata
SQL tuning and performance optimization, BTEQ, Shell Script knowledge.
Expert knowledge of Teradata Database optimization techniques
Experience with translating logical models to optimal physical models
Experience advising developers and development teams from design through build phase
Desirable Technical / Functional Skills :
1. Experience with Teradata load utilities like BTEQ, Teradata SQL Assistant, Tpump, FastLoad, MultiLoad, FastExport, TPT
2. Testable strong SQL with complex queries
3. Proficient testing skills on unit, system, and integration
4. Experience tuning ETL for performance and efficiency
5. Very good verbal and written communication skills
6. Database Development
7. Stored procedure Development
8. Unix Shell Scripting Experience
9. Java Exposure
