In the role of Technology Architect, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design.
You will play an important role in envisioning and defining the end to end architecture model (including data model) of the solution from customer needs/requirement.
You will define the high level and detailed level architecture of the solution for all components and get it documented by team, reviewed and signed off by customer.
Will coordinate with Manager on ground to define activities for design and to recommend activities around build, testing, deployment and UAT.
Work closely with the development team to convert design into code as per design guidelines and ensure compliance
Creating unified development standards if not existing. Improve existing ones, if already existing.
Work closely with the QA team to create the right kind of test cases.
Support with review of code and test cases to ensure accuracy.
Also other activities include:
o Managing timing and deadline
o Control over synchronization of the software with the system architecture
o Performance quality control
o Give input as needed to issues like the tool and environment selection
o Interact with management and stakeholders
o Resolve disputes and make tradeoffs
o Resolve technical problems
o Understand and plan for evolutionary paths
o Plan for new technology insertion
o Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies associated with the architecture.
Implement data in transit data encryption methodologies for ELT process on Unix.
Implementing security rule’s for accessing data from judicial data warehouse based on their profile and access granted.
Documenting the standards for security areas such as best practices role creations for the end user.
Providing the Solutions for the more critical performance issues or design issues performing the design reviews in order to ensure that the Platform standards are followed regularly.
Interact and work directly with customer team members on projects and support issues.
Follow change management and problem management processes.

Qualification
11+ years IT experience in implementing Enterprise Data Warehousing and ETL methodologies. Experienced in full software development lifecycle which includes project planning, requirement analysis, documenting, design, development, unit and integration testing.
Extensive experience translating business requirements into conceptual, logical, physical data models. Used forward and reverse engineering techniques for building physical data model. Well-versed with ER & Dimension modeling.
Architect the ETL, ELT process and database standards and created source to target mapping documents for Development team.
Extensive Experience on Teradata latest versions(v15.0 and above) in using Fast Load, Fast Export, TPT, TPump, Multi Load and BTEQ to load/extract data Teradata warehouse. Well versed with Teradata Manager Suite & Teradata Analytical Suite, Peinto performance Monitoring (PMON) & View Point, Statistics and Alert management.
Extensive Experience in database design. Strong understanding of Star and Snowflake schemas. Extensive experience in creating database objects, including Triggers, Cursors, Stored Procedures and Materialized Views etc.
Extensive experience in implementing Role based security, Row and column level security
Experience in Teradata upgrade planning, analysis and pre and post validation.
Extensive experience in writing UNIX Shell Scripts and Control M for job scheduling.
Strong experience in deploying Teradata scripts to various environments
Experience in developing data maps to communicate with third party source systems. Work experience in Telco industry would be a great addition
Experience in debugging and performance tuning of targets, sources, mappings and sessions.
Hands on experience in designing Semantic layer and implementing role based security model
Excellent interpersonal communication Skills and technical documentation skills.
Worked in Onsite-Offshore model, Knowledge transfer, Communicate time lines, progress, delays etc. back and forth from the team to the client and vice versa
Ability to be an effective team player and work under time constraints.
Batch optimization and automation
Exposure to security features, data encryption and role based security using complex views
Client-facing and strong communication skills
Should be ready to work with offshore teams
Preferred
Knowledge of Informatica and Big Data technologies
Knowledge of Java
Knowledge of Telco domain
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
