Mode - Long Term Contract
Job Description:
Good understanding and hands on experience in logical data modeling and data warehouse concepts
In-depth experience in deriving optimized physical data models from the logical data model provided
In-depth experience in security administration using roles and profiles mechanism
Hands on experience on performance tuning of complex SQL’s
In-depth knowledge of Teradata utilities such as Multi load, Fastexport, BTEQ, Fastload and TPump
Solid understanding of Teradata client tools such as SQL Assistant, Performance Monitor, Teradata Manager and Teradata Administrator
Hands on experience in using MS SQL Server, Oracle and DB2 databases
Hands on experience in using MS Office products and Windows XP or higher version of OS
Verbal and written communication skills.

Position 2: Teradata Admin in Charlotte, NC
Mode - Long Term Contract
Job Description:
Manages and maintains all production and non-production databases.
Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance, access and security administration.
Responsible for design and correct functioning of backup and recovery on DBMSs.
Configures database parameters, creates prototype designs against logical data models, and defines data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements.
Optimizes database access and allocates/re-allocates database resources for optimum configuration, database performance and cost.
Leads complex/major efforts regarding the design and development of DBMSs.
Analyzes complex/critical data requirements, application and processing architectures, data dictionaries, and database schema(s
Develops database and warehousing designs across multiple platforms and computing environments.
Ensures that database designs incorporate the appropriate control, integrity, and accessibility of data.
Leads complex / major efforts regarding the management and maintenance of all production / non production databases, as well as their system components.
Resolves complex problems with implementing DBMS software releases, upgrades, or changes.
Leads evaluations of application designs for effective DBMS utilization.
May lead project teams.
Serves as subject matter expert (SME) in assigned area.
Analyzes complex performance and capacity issues with DBMS software.
Provides mentoring and training to more junior staff.
Handles complex operational tasks, resolves complex problems, and recommends processing and technology changes.
May serve as departmental liaison to interdepartmental or interdivisional project initiatives.
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies; prepares and continuously updates technical documentation for DBMS applications.
Ensures control, integrity, and accessibility of data.
Possesses a solid understanding of the inter relationships of operations within the infrastructure.
Strong communication and analytical skills necessary for independent project work.
Good understanding of application of technology utilized to support one or more business areas.
May be required to coordinate small numbers of staff in the execution of projects.
Typically experienced across two IT areas or in a DBMS across multiple computing platforms.
