Job Title: Telecom Network Engineer
Location: Durham, NC-27701
Duration: 6 month contract
Job Description
Hiring Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of systems engineering experience is required.
In lieu of degree, 7 years of systems engineering experience.
Direct experience in one or more of the following technical specialties: network, compute, storage, telephony, platform, middleware, and/or database.
Experience automating tasks associated with technical specialties.
Experience successfully leading data center projects and initiatives.
Understanding of Telecom Data and Telephonic circuitry- TDM(T1,PRI), Ethernet, Wave, MPLS, PTP
General accounting, and carrier invoice literacy
Experience performing analysis and validation of Telecom voice and data circuits
Understanding of WAN Service Provider contracts, terms, conditions, SLAs, credits.
Experience ordering new, disconnecting old circuits
Detail oriented person capable of meticulous trend tracking and reporting
