POSITION OBJECTIVES:
To develop and manage technology training programs; to work with end users and supervisors to identify training needs and map out development plans; to effectively coordinate and conduct training for employees on information technologies in use at the cooperative; and to work and communicate in a team oriented environment in accordance with the vision, mission, and values of the Cooperative.

MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Require Bachelor’s degree. Prefer degree in information technology with an emphasis on technology training. Prefer professional certifications in information technology with an emphasis on technical training.

EXPERIENCE: At a minimum, the most recent three (3) years’ experience must have included end user training on technology systems, preferably in the electric utility industry. Require hands-on experience coordinating and scheduling multiple technology training events.

KNOWLEDGE: Require a solid, broad knowledge of computer systems, including hardware, desktop productivity tools and enterprise software systems. Require knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools.

SKILLS: Require effective leadership skills, excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to work in a team environment; requires advanced planning, organizing, and multi-tasking skills; require the ability to master end user software applications and transfer knowledge. Require proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to complete the full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Maintains an intuitive understanding of technology within a data-driven culture, and a comprehensive knowledge of information technologies and business solutions in use at the Cooperative.

2. Maintains thorough and up-to-date knowledge of information technology trends, system software and end user technology tools and solutions.

3. Consults with multiple functional area technology users, supervisors, subject matter experts, and training providers to identify training needs, and develops training programs to close knowledge gaps.

4. Ensures the smooth and effective functioning of training events for all departments by managing and coordinating the logistics, systems and vendor relationships for training programs and sessions.

5. Conducts focused training sessions with end users in technologies relevant to their positions.

6. Identifies, promotes, and schedules available technology training opportunities offered by third parties.

7. Assists in onboarding of new hires to identify and provide training on technology relevant to the position.

8. Maintains database of training records and reports on training metrics on a timely basis.

9. Gather feedback from trainees after educational sessions to assess effectiveness.

10. Review priorities with Director of Business Technology Solutions and keep him/her informed of the status of all current technology training initiatives.

11. Maintain and promote a high level of awareness regarding cyber threats from both internal and external sources. Promote and comply with cybersecurity policies and best practices.

12. Ensures familiarity with and follows the best safety practices set forth in the Cooperative’s Safety Manual.

13. Attends and participates in the Annual Meeting, as required or directed.

14. Performs such other duties as may be required or directed.
