Job Description :
Job Title : Technology Support / UNIX System Administrator.
Location : Wilton, CT.
Duration : Long Term

It’s a big role so anyone who has significant experience in a number of the key areas will be considered. For this position we would like to emphasize the tech support aspect along with a strong general Unix Admin background. Candidate will need to “mix in” with the developers. Candidates that only focus on the admin side will not be a fit for this role.

Candidate(s) need to have at least 2 recent years of experience in solving developers’ issues and server maintenance. Will be responsible for working with software developers. The position(s) require interaction like “help desk” for issues. The role(s) include being assigned to a project with [20-30] developers who run into problems and need quick resolution, but also to notify the project when servers are down or other tools are not working.

Clearcase is required for [1] of the [2] needs. SCM experience is nice to have, but it can be learned by someone with an open mind. DevOps and Jenkins are also listed, but they are more of a plus.

You might notice the word investigation appearing in multiple places, curiosity and perseverance are also key soft skills for us. Occasional off-hours support may be required to support the following activities.
