Barrister Global Services Network Inc. is currently looking for a motivated, highly detailed, organized and outgoing individual to support one of our major nationwide clients. The successful applicant should be able to quickly adapt their knowledge to the current IT environment and be able to enhance the current systems in place. They should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills so as to be understood by technical and non-technical personnel.
Job Summary:
Responsible for production support on the SAP SCM application including: troubleshooting and enhancements for the production system, working with business users to translate business needs into the appropriate SAP solution, providing alternatives with pros/cons, provide design analysis and functional specs, hands-on SAP configuration, working closely with the IT ABAP team, and development/execution of test plans. Work on various sub-projects including: loading of Coating Lines, 3CAL & CHTL by time vs. tons, and performing a caster capacity check during allocations. In addition, backfill on production support.
Essential Function:
Support the base production system with enhancements and troubleshooting
Work with business user to translate business problems into SAP solutions
Assist in the evaluation and selection of the best solution from many alternatives
Write functional specifications and perform hands-on SAP configurations
Work closely with the ABAP team
Develop test plans and coordinate testing. Assist in training end users as needed
Assist with documentation, training, and communication plans as required
Interact with business end-users in all phases of support activities
Adhere to ArcelorMittal standards for software development and change management
Requirements:
5+ years, senior level SAP functional specialist
Strong SAP SCM DP and PPDS experience
ERP PP (production planning) experience
3 full life cycle implementations
ABAP debugging skills and ability to work closely with ABAP programmers
Preferred:
BW and SD experience is a plus
SAP HANA 1511 on premise experience is a plus
Knowledge of RFC’s, BAPI’s, BADI’s, BDC’s, User Exits, and enhancement points
Knowledge of outbound/inbound ABAP interfaces using IDOCs, BAPIs, RFCs to/from Middleware (IBM WebSphere is a plus) and flat files
IDOC setup and enhancements
Middleware experience (IBM WebSphere)
MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
