Qualifications
Basic
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
Preferred
At least 7 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks in Java/J2ee technologies.
At least 8 years of experience of working on progressive application architect or platform engineering
Strong knowledge of API design principles and experience designing solutions as part of a Services-Oriented-Architecture (SOA), AWS Microservices and event driven architectures for high-availability web applications;
Development experience using microservice architectures for new development or refactoring a plus
Excellent communication and team skills
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking skills and a decision maker
Development skills with key application middleware (WAS, Tomcat)
Ability to develop prototypes for proving out new technology solutions
Practical experience with client/server java j2EE web application development
Building and deploying applications with scalability and performance optimizations
Cloud Computing platforms (Amazon AWS) design, automation and development
Building / migrating applications to Containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
Use of DEVOPS principles leveraging continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Sonarcube, Git)
At least 4 years of experience in project execution
Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
Analytical skills.
At least 7 years of experience in thought leadership, white papers and leadership/mentoring of staff and internal consulting teams.
Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel
