Job Description :
Technical Writer III: Design and publish professional-quality
training materials and other documents as necessary. Ensures materials
are both attractive and functional for the target audience. Write and
edit highly technical information, such as course curriculum, users’
manuals, and plans for both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Contributes to the production of Web graphics and aids implementation
of site layout using HTML, JavaScript, Cold Fusion, ASP, and/or other
tools. The technical writer must be an expert in the English language
and technical writing. They must have the ability to collect and
consolidate large amounts of information into a plain language manual.
The technical writer must be proficient in using the latest Microsoft
Office and Adobe software suites. The technical writer must be able
to sort through existing unfinished work, sit with a Government
Subject Matter Expert to gather necessary data in order to produce a
finished product that is intuitive enough for an inexperienced
individual to understand and navigate, and is visually appealing.
