Job Description :
Compile and analyze technical information
into presentable deliverables to the client. Edit documents for
grammatical correctness, proper spelling, and coherency. Create
graphic materials based on pre-set standards. Possess specialized
skills in Web design and multimedia. Perform desktop layout, image
manipulation, and some pre-press preparation. The technical writer
must be an expert in the English language and technical writing. They
must have the ability to collect and consolidate large amounts of
information into a plain language manual. The technical writer must
be proficient in using the latest Microsoft Office and Adobe software
suites. The technical writer must be able to sort through existing
unfinished work, sit with a Government Subject Matter Expert to gather
necessary data in order to produce a finished product that is
intuitive enough for an inexperienced individual to understand and
navigate, and is visually appealing.
