Title: Technical Writer [XTGL_]
Location: Linthicum, MD
Type: 12 + Months Contract
Experience:
At least Five (5) years of experience in technical writing
Qualifications:
At least two (2) years of experience in preparing and editing documents, including technical documents. Also includes researching for applicable standards.
Education:
A Bachelor''s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in scientific or technical discipline.
Duties:
Assists in collecting and organizing information for preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.
Conducts research and ensures the use of proper technical terminology.
Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently or under only general direction.
Should be able to write and maintain systems and user support documentation, user-training materials with version control.
Document core product and customer solution-specific code.
Create document flow diagrams, document programming methodologies and toolkit use.
Proficiency in Microsoft office products-MS Word, Notepad, Adobe, Visio, Snagit, Notepad++ etc
