Senior Level
Deliverables:
For the use of internal customers, BI Product Descriptions, Business Metadata Dictionaries, Dictionary of WMATA Metric Computations, Data Quality Standards, Data Flow Descriptions, Data Architecture specifications, related documents and diagrams.
Supplemental Duties:
Review and revise existing documentation for accuracy, grammar and intelligibility
Collaborate with technicians and business SMEs to design and create new types of documentation to promote and explain BI Program offerings Recommend ways for the BI Program to communicate to the user community.
The successful candidate will have in-depth and broad experience
related to:
Documenting database environments, data flows, data architectures, and metadata; Reviewing documents and Interviewing technicians and SMEs to capture understanding of how IT products work and translate into business language.
Editing technical documentation for clarity, accuracy, and brevity
Using graphics to depict technical concepts and specifications.
Desired experience includes: At least 5 year’s experience writing technical documents for data warehouse/data mart product environments
At least 5 year’s experience writing technical documents related to business intelligence dashboards, metric computations, and analytic reports.
Demonstrated ability to write clearly, economically, and efficiently on technical topics.
Note: a recent writing sample containing diagrams or other graphics for illustration will be required upon interview.
