Technical Writer Job Details
We are seeking a Technical Writer with 5-7 years of experience and a passion for turning complex technical concepts into concise, understandable, and complete customer-facing documentation. The ideal candidate has a broad writing experience in creating user documentation with a background in Cloud and SaaS concepts. You’re experienced and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, working with subject matter experts directly in product marketing, customer support, engineering, and customer communications.
Technical Writer Mandatory Skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
Strong customer advocacy, writing, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are vital
Content management experience
Experience writing single sourced, task-based content
Ability to build working relationships with engineering contacts
Good grasp on instructional design
Extreme focus on the details
Experience taking and editing screen shots
Experience creating short instructional videos
Professional Expectations:
Motivated self-starter, who enjoys taking ownership of content and thrives when working independently
Able to stay focused on priorities even as conflicting requests for work flow in
Strong technical background, ideally in the cloud SaaS space
Excellent editing skills
Strong critical thinking skills and a passion for asking questions
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
BA/BS preferred. This position is onsite with a possibility of some remote work.
