Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Mountain View, CA

Duration: 6mon+ Overview:As a technical writer for Payments,

you'll help educate internal Google product developers on how to integrate their products with Payments to facilitate billing and payments. The Payments platform provides billing and payment architecture, user interface, and consumer applications for everything related to accepting and providing payments.You'll work with other technical writers, engineers, and product managers to create developer guides, conceptual docs, playbooks, and help centers. You'll work independently to revise existing documentation to make it conform to current Google standards, and maintain the currency of the docs.You might have a background as a developer and write documentation on the side, or you're a seasoned communicator with experience writing for large-scale technical platforms. One thing is for certain: you are passionate about helping developers build amazing things.Responsibilities:1. Write developer guides and conceptual docs for developers that cover how to integrate with Payments platform.2. Create/update help centers related to Payments that cater to various cross-functional teams (such as Operations, Support, etc.3. Revise/edit existing documentation to improve them and maintain currency. Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of technical writing experience focusing on software developer audiences- Experience with large-scale software technologies-

Ability to read code in Java- Ability to understand and create content for the developer audience - Ability to learn new authoring tools- Adaptability to thrive in a fast pace environment - Excellent communication and soft skills. - Track record of exceeding expectations in his/her previous projects. - Be a team player with good attitude Attention to detail Highly Motivated with abundant High energy Proficiency in a Unix environment and SQL skills. - Excellent client management skills; including ensuring that solutions meet the client’s specific needs, problems are quickly resolved, and all work is completed to the client’s satisfaction Strong project management skills; including status reporting, project documentation, issue resolution, time management, and communication with team members - Ability to work well with all levels of management - Act as a leader and mentor; exhibit high regard for teamwork and collaboration; confident - Makes timely and sound decisions based on all available input; recognizes problems and is proactive and decisive in response and action - Analytical; proactive; creative problem solver.
