Writes a variety of technical requirement documents, service definition documents and manuals for Travel and Operations domains, including Travel Services, Check-in and Boarding, Travel Data Services, FLIFO and Baggage.

8+ years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Experience documenting technical requirements, specifically business requirements and web service requirements, including design documents.
Experience with Visio to draw flow charts.
Must be very organized and able to work without constant direction.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude.
Writing sample attached to submittal.

Previous experience as a Developer or Architect.
Ideally, this resource would open up code Net) and reverse engineer existing services to write service definition documents. Without this background, they would need to work with the developers on the team to obtain this information.
Experience with Fiddler.
Bachelor''s degree in a related area.

When you think of a Technical Writer, you likely think of someone who writes and publishes user manuals, installation manuals, etc. (This position isn''t that This role calls for almost more of an Architect. Someone who can document how the front end of an application works and understands and writes service requests and service responses. Able to map out a service request, service response, what channels it is going through, and submit to UI.
Will collaborate on the template with the Business Analyst as well as the Technical Writer / Business Analyst pair that sit in the other location to ensure they are using the same format for services.
There will be a training aspect involved once this resource joins due to the technical nature of the role. The Business Analyst they will work closely with is expected to be very technical and will ensure the accuracy of content, whereas the Technical Writer will be more concerned with formatting, correcting grammatical errors, making sure documents are presentable, etc.
Assignment is not likely to be extended after 9 months, given the services have been documented in that timeframe.
Chicago resource will likely need to travel to Houston 1 week out of every month, or two 3-day trips each month.
Houston resource might need to travel to Chicago, but not as frequently as the team in Chicago will need to travel to Houston.
Preference is for candidates to be available for F2F interviews.
