Develops a thorough understanding of the audience and the
documentation required by meeting with internal teams, vendors and working
with managers to discuss technical scope
Researches and builds knowledge about applications, services,
technology, or concepts to be documented
Creates training material based on gathered knowledge and exams
for technical certification
Determines the clearest and most logical way to present
information and instructions for greatest reader comprehension and writes
and edits technical information accordingly
Prepares or commissions graphics and illustrations to elaborate
on or complement technical writing
Meets with subject matter experts in order to ensure that
specialized topics are appropriately documented for knowledgebase articles
Properly create keywords per article for accurate searching in
knowledgebase environment
Reviews, edits or re-writes material prepared by others as well
as creating brand new material
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree in English, experience writing IT technical
documentation, ability to deliver high quality documentation paying
attention to detail, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong
ability to interview technical personnel to appropriately capture data
