Job Description :
Role: Technical Writer Auto UX

Location: Santa Clara CA
Duration: 6 Months +
Rate: Market rate

Visa : Any

Responsibilities

* Develop, write, and update internal- and external-facing technical documentation with supplemental graphics to explain our product and programs

* Present well-organized information in appropriate formatting for both web and print (PDF) output

* Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements

* Communicate with and understand the needs of our customers and business associates

* Create and maintain the information architecture

* Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards

* Review, edit, and proofread materials written by others as applicable, including UI text for clarity and succinctness before
inclusion in production

Requirements

* Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation

* Ability to deliver high-quality documentation, paying attention to detail

* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures

* Excellent written and communication skills in English

* Strong working knowledge of Atlassian Confluence and JIRA

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Photoshop or equivalent image-capturing and editing software

* Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus

Experience



* Degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred

* Must have the ability to be flexible, work independently, and interact with internal teams as well as customers

* 3-5 years’ experience in technical documentation

* Bonus: Showcase a portfolio of hardcopy or softcopy writing samples and projects
