Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an Infrastructure Project Manager to join our financial services team in Washington, DC and Herndon, VA.
Your future duties and responsibilities
CGI is looking for an energized and driven Project Manager to lead an infrastructure initiative. As the IT infrastructure project manager, you will manage various IT infrastructure needs of the business unit and/or a project in particular accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. In addition, the project manager will produce status reports, conduct status meetings and facilitate issue resolution and risk management sessions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 7yrs+ experience in managing Infrastructure and Corporate IT Systems projects.
- Work experience managing infrastructure projects
- Solid infrastructure skills to gain credibility and manage multiple work streams and complex projects.
- Able to understand, question and deal with technical details on IT infrastructure and Corporate IT Systems.
- Experience in dealing with third-party vendors for infrastructure issue resolution.
- Hands on experience in planning, managing and executing large sized Corporate IT setup for new facilities etc.
- Strong communication, client facing and relationship building skills
- Ability to manage, coordinate, guide a project team of technical professionals, and ability to work well with senior management.
- Outstanding leadership skills and strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter, proactive, action-oriented
- PMP/ITIL Certification desired
Education:
BS Degree in Information Technology
