Position Description
Contributes and provides significant contributions in the design, coding, testing, support and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software.
Collaborates with other developers and provides significant contributions to develop specifications to resolve business client questions, problems, and to address enhancement needs.
Interacts directly with business clients.
Serves as a mentor to lower level developers.

- Has thorough understanding of technical concepts required for sustaining a fast-paced IT environment.
- Uses that knowledge, creativity, company practices and priorities to to influence implementation of solutions for a more robust and stable production presence.
- Interfaces with senior management to provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project direction.
Qualifications
- BS and 6+ years or equivalent experience.
- Experience with IT production support with strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support.
- Experience writing and reviewing software design specifications in an object-oriented development environment.
- Ability to thoroughly understand the business issues surrounding each project.
- Ability to respond directly to questions from business clients.
- Ability to be a technical authority and work with other team members.
- Ability to work directly with third party vendor to identify and implement best practices.
- Knowledge of standard change management tools and processes.
- Experience with Tealeaf/Splunk/AppD/Science Logic experience is a plus.
