Teamcenter Data Migration Solution Architect

Location: Houston, TX

Job type: Permanent (Fulltime)

Technical/Functional Skills:

· Must have hands-on experience working with large Teamcenter data migration projects from multiple Legacy Applications

· Solid proven background across all phases of a Solution Delivery Methodology

· Very good hands on experience to Extraction Transformation & Loading (ETL) process followed for data migration

· Experience in Data Analysis, Data Quality, Migration Strategy

· SAP & CAD Migration Experience

· Shared drive and Share point Migration

· Sound understanding of latest Teamcenter architecture, data model

· Ability to understand Legacy applications data model in a short time and gather data migration requirements.

· Ability to assess the business problems and derive scope in terms of its technical implementation

· Ability to design scalable, reusable and robust solution frameworks for data migration

· Very good Ability to articulate solution ideas with absolute clarity, good communication and presentation skills

· Ability to redesign existing data migration processes to improve operational/business efficiency

· Ability to demonstrate technical leadership by guiding the team in critical/challenging technical issues

· Ability to participate and provide guidance in technical review sessions

· Ability to define and evaluate technical competencies required for different types of customer requirements

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Support and/or guide team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using issue based problem solving principles

· Gather and document technical and functional requirements for data migration

· Develop functional and technical specifications for data migration

· Formulate the strategy and execution plan for data migration.

· Develop and execute test scripts, document outcomes, and analyze/fix data migration issues

· Develop data architecture and manage data migration efforts

· Support business readiness and change management activities prior to go-live

· Support end user go-live and ongoing support

· Provide multiple solution options for data migration and recommendations based on extensive experience and best practices.

Generic Managerial Skills:

· Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work streams of larger projects

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Good Analytical skill, Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

· Eagerness to mentor junior team members

· Proficient use of Power Point presentation tool, and MS office tools. Proven writing skills for mass communication. Ability to document use cases, requirements and relevant technical documentation.

· Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills

· Knowledge of six sigma is added advantage

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
