Job Description :
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will have responsibilities that vary on a daily basis. With a strong understanding of both key business context and IT architecture this role will be critical in bridging the gap between the business user and their data. Responsibilities will vary from very technical to very high level design all while staying on the same page as the business partner.
Provide technical guidance to Business Analysts, and end users, to best address business functional requirements.
A proven ability to develop a clear understanding of client needs and the ability to incorporate them into a BI solution.
Deployment and integration testing of developed components in multiple testing environments.
Support QA (resolve issues and release fixes) UAT and production support when required.
Develop, maintain, document and manage BI Solutions using Talend/Postgres.
Develop, maintain, document, and manage custom data delivery systems for large scale business intelligence initiatives.
Partner directly with other BI developers, data architects, clients, technical data warehouse team members, and database administrators to design and develop high performing BI solutions and maintain consistent development functions.
Ensure solution designs address performance requirements, reusability, availability, integrity, security challenges, and business functional requirements.
A desire to learn and grow, push yourself and your team, share lessons with others and provide constructive and continuous feedback, and receptive to feedback from others.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
Excellent communication and cross-team coordination skills. Strong oral, written, and presentation as well as strong interpersonal skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 10+ Years’ experience of hands-on development of Enterprise Data Warehouse environment with focus on Data Integration (ETL
2. Minimum of 8 years Talend experience.
3. Expert level understanding of ETL framework – Developing Audit, Balance, Control; Validation architecture etc.
4. Knowledge on using different Talend components like tmap, tunpivotrow, tloop, tflowmeter etc.
5. Team-player excited to work in a fast-paced environment. Agile experience preferred.
6. Demonstrated experience with ORDBMS for development using postgres.
7. A proven ability to develop a clear understanding of client needs and the ability to incorporate them into a BI solution.
8. Domain knowledge of Oil & Gas industry.
9. Bachelor''s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.
10. Tableau experience is a plus.
