Essential Storage Skills Include:
A very good understanding of & practical experience in managing large data centers with Heterogeneous storage and backup environments.
Good proficiency in using IBM TSM and good understanding of its best practices.
Exposure to / aware of TSM client and server trace functions
Good proficiency and working knowledge of EMC DataDomain.
Proficient in Tivoli Data Protection Options for Exchange, Oracle, MS-SQL etc.
DRM using Tivoli Storage Manager.
Create, manage and monitor the TSM database, recovery log and Storage Pools
Backup and restore/rebuilding of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Server, Databases and storage pools
Performance Optimization of the TSM backup environments
Experience/ Exposure to implementation of VTLs (Virtual Tape Library
