Must Haves:
Strong leadership and decision-making skills – Supervisor experience
Strong Windows OS and Microsoft ISO experience (windows10, understand Microsoft patches) – have to update all clients (franchise owners) every 6 months or so
Experience with Windows PowerShell (big plus) or strong scripting experience
IBM BigFix for patching (another end-point management tool will work too)
Bachelor’s Degree

Job Summary:
The Systems Engineering Specialist is responsible for deploying, installing, and maintaining a highly available network and server infrastructure, and works directly with developers to design and implement new systems that directly support The client application portfolio. He/She works in small teams with developers, vendors, and operational staff in the provisioning, designing, and evaluation of new technology, while regularly improving previously deployed projects to ensure efficiency. This position includes building VMware clusters, automating datacenter processes, building complex technologies, performing system tests, and acting as a first responder during infrastructure outages. The Systems Engineer Specialist monitors and maintains internal network availability as well as ensuring network stability locations.

The Systems Engineering Specialist manages, configures, and maintains server fleet to meet standards required by organization and industry. He/She diagnoses and identifies root cause for server hardware, system software, storage technology, and networking infrastructures. This position aims to create automation, continuous testing, and timely remediation.

Other Duties:
Performs software upgrades including OS, firmware, and drivers to maintain system dependability.
Performs data collection and develops maintenance methodologies to stay current with industry standards.
Communicates issue status and resolution timelines to internal customers such as developers, operational teams, and pertinent management groups to keep stakeholders informed of technology issues and updates.
Handles multiple tasks and projects, switching between them quickly, to meet requirements of the organization.
Leads projects and provides guidance/training to others in the department.
Plans and executes upgrades to the production environments to keep optimal system performance.
Creates and maintains update–to–update programmatic and technical documentation to insure efficient planning and execution.

IT - Stakeholder Relationship Management: Captures and disseminates technical and business information. Facilitates the business change decision-making processes and the planning and implementation of change.
Technical Problem Solving and Analytical Processes: Conducts root cause analysis and diagnoses and manages technical problems using pre-defined steps, limited experience, and available tools. Identifies and documents changes that need to be made to established procedures. Makes recommendations and resolves moderately complex technical problems. Contributes to the identification of inefficiencies and deficiencies in processes and applications during walk throughs, tests, and actual.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor''s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) – Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Information Science, Computer Science, or related field – Preferred
Experience with Data Center operations and processes – Preferred
Knowledge of storage technologies – Preferred
Knowledge of hardware components – Preferred
Experience scripting Power Shell – Preferred
Knowledge of Next Generation Firewall (NGFW) technology – Preferred
Certifications in VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE) – Preferred
