Job Description:
Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Tulsa, OK
Duration : 3+ Months
Rate: $44/hr on C2C (MAX)
Skills and qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years in a systems administrator or systems engineering role
Strong experience with Python and/or Perl, and scripting queries to MySQL
Exposure to monitoring tools (Nagios/Solar winds)
Able to both respond to problems creatively and proactively
Able to work independently and collaborate effectively in a complex environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including conducting training or presentations to teams and to internal customers.
Able to create documentation and drawings in Wiki/Confluence and Visio
Able to break down complex technical topics into common language understandable by non-technical/ business oriented audiences.
Experience with previous CMDB work is highly preferred.
Ability to create database-backed web pages (such as Django or Rails) is preferred.
Experience with creating visualizations (such as D3JS) is a plus.
About the position:
In order to accomplish this goal, we need to find a UNIX Systems Engineer/System Administrator with experience and proven ability working with data integration. This temporary team member will work as part of our IT-Tools team, and will also work closely with DBA team, UNIX team, and Datacenter Operations team. This includes importing, deduplication, connecting and synchronizing different data systems, and integrating using API''s. Our current "machine DB" inventory system is developed using Django so experience with Django platform is a plus.
