Position: Systems Analyst (Serialization)

Description
The IS Systems Analyst architects, specifies, designs, develops, documents, tests, delivers and supports Serialization process solutions for GMP Packaging

Responsibilities:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate, Divisional and Plant Policies and procedures.
Charts Serialization processes by partnering with process owners and using appropriate methods and tools.
Re-engineers Serialization processes by partnering with process owners and using appropriate methods and tools.
Defines Serialization process requirements by using appropriate tools and partnering with systems or process owners to understand requirements.
Designs solution prototypes and proof of concepts for Serialization processes by using system or process requirements and appropriate methods and tools.
Modifies Serialization processes by using appropriate methods, development environments and tools.
Documents Serialization processes by using standard methods, formats, and tools to create project or process documentation.
Guides implementation of Serialization systems by creating and communicating well-written documentation and presentations; and by providing coaching and mentoring to Engineering, Operations and IT management and staff. (Senior, Principal)
Assures quality of Serialized systems by developing and executing test specifications, test plans and quality plans; and by working with quality assurance analysts to improve Serialization quality processes.
Resolves issues related to business use of Serialized systems or processes by working with systems or process owners and project teams to find acceptable solutions. Manages Serialization systems development or process improvement projects by applying basic project management methodology. Researches new technologies and development techniques by leveraging industry contacts, seminars, books, and hands-on experience. (Senior, Principal) Educates plant personnel about new technologies and techniques through informal interactions, formal presentations, and training sessions. (Senior, Principal)

Position Accountability / Scope:
Establishes and cultivates an extensive network of support to facilitate completion of assignments. Participates in the development of less experienced staff by setting an example, providing guidance and work direction, and offering counsel. May lead a project team. Participates in determining goals and objectives for projects. Influences middle management on technical or business solutions. May interact with vendors.
Plans and organizes non-routine tasks w/approval. Initiates or maintains work schedule. Establishes priorities of work assignments.
Exercises judgment in selecting innovative, practical methods to achieve problem resolution. Failure to obtain results or erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources.

Qualifications:
Bachelor''s Degree plus 6+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience working in GMP industry specifically Packaging operations is required.
Engineering training or experience is preferred.
Advanced Degree preferred.
