Need Systems Administrator for Fulltime Job

Role:Systems Administrator
Location:Hamptonville, NC

Job Summary:
The Systems Administrator (SA) provides technical skills to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks.
Resourcefulness to be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
Skills to communicate and work with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
Ensure that the technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. Assist in the technical design, planning, implementation of systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter.
Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.
Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources.
Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security and usability concerns.
Create and verify backups of systems and data.
Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
Install and test computer-related equipment.
Manages systems including hardware, software and equipment such as access control, UPS and network cabling.
Facilitates on-call support; duties include investigating and troubleshooting as required.
Provides end-user “Help Desk” technical support. Manages Lydall Help Ticket system.
Creates and maintains appropriate system documentation and standard work and procedures.
Interprets and/or discusses information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provide advice and recommend actions.
Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for Lydall to take advantage of new technology.
Work with IT Manager and Engineers on projects and tasks.
Positions in this classification may perform all or some of the responsibilities above and all other related duties as assigned.

Four + years technical experience in system administration.
Ability to respond to help desk requests after hours on a limited basis.
Working knowledge of the following:
Windows Server
Windows operating systems
Active Directory
Microsoft O365 suite (EMS, Exchange Online, Office Pro Plus, SfB)
Working knowledge of backup and recovery systems including:
Cloud Backups
Cloud Email Archiving
Disaster Recovery solutions
