Job Description :
The level of knowledge and skills required is typically consistent with a candidate possessing a technical foundation in computer science or extensive software experience in an engineering discipline.
This is typically equivalent to having a bachelor''s degree in an engineering discipline or computer science, and at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of systems administration.
Comprehensive knowledge of UNIX systems administration, particularly Linux and Solaris.
Comprehensive knowledge of and expertise in networked file systems including NFS, and SMB.
Comprehensive knowledge of and expertise in systems administration tools (Nagios, syslog-ng, Ganglia) and languages (Perl, Python, C, PHP, Java, shell
Considerable knowledge of and expertise in network design and administration.
Considerable knowledge of networking technologies such as TCP/IP and related protocols.
Considerable knowledge of virtualization and container technologies such as VMWare, OpenStack, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Good familiarity with the hardware and software of mass storage systems and technologies used such as RAID, iSCSI, Fibre Channel.
Knowledge of IT services such as mediawiki, Wordpress, and ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
Knowledge of common scripting languages, including perl, python, ruby and shell.
Knowledge of compiling software written in languages such as C, C++, and Fortran.
