Description :
Client is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Systems Engineer.
This individual will hold the primary responsibilities for planning and execution of challenging projects.
This candidate will also hold the responsibility for upkeep of core infrastructure systems and critical applications.
The candidate should possess the ability to work independently, prioritizes existing projects, and proactively determine areas requiring additional attention, monitoring, or maintenance.
Task and Duties
Coordination and collaboration with Project Manager and Business Analyst resources within the organization
Design, upgrade, and maintain virtualized infrastructure, storage systems, and networking systems
Ongoing evaluation of infrastructure utilization and life-cycling of legacy hardware
Facilitate growth of datacenter infrastructure and planning of maintenance windows
Planning and documenting disaster recovery and business continuity activities as they pertain to current company goals and initiatives
Upholding of documentation standards and requirements
Implementation and planning of a variety of server, network, and storage platforms
Adherence and cooperative support of ISMS system under the ISO27001:2013 standard
Design of monitoring systems to maintain uptime and availability of key systems
Provide resolution and preventative action for serious outages
Design systems for data backups and disaster recovery operations
Performs a variety of complicated tasks, and provide support for escalated trouble tickets
Support Functions
Provide prompt resolution to escalated issues and outages
Creation and maintenance of monitoring standards both proactive and reactive
Leverage on call rotation schedule to ensure 24X7 availability of IT resources and escalation
Provide training to System Administration and desktop staff to ensure redundancy exists and knowledge of systems are transparent
Expert knowledge of Active Directory and Windows -2008 / 2012 server, deployment, administration & maintenance
Experience with VMWare technologies including ESXi, Vcenter, SRM and Update Manager for Vcenter
Experience with Cisco UCS platform configuration from scratch to daily administration
Detailed understanding of Layer 3 routing, subnetting, and Windows networking
Understanding of various interconnectivity methods, standards, and technology''s
Experience with implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Virtualized environments
Experience with DNS, DHCP, NAT, OSPF and IP Routing
Experience with SonicWall NSA Firewalls, ESA appliances and SRA Appliances a plus
Experience with or implementation of Commvault Sympana platform or similar enterprise backup platforms
Experience implementing and maintaining Enterprise Class NAS and SAN technologies
Knowledge or implementation of an ISMS such as ISO27001:2013
Experience with MS-SQL 2008 / 2012 / 2014 and SQL high availability options
Experience with Solarwinds or other monitoring platforms
Superior documentation skills
Strong communication skills.
Attention to detail
Organized and able to complete tasks or projects with limited guidance
S. in technology-related field preferred.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the Information Technology field
E-Discovery Experience a plus
