Job Description :
St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital is seeking a senior level System Administrator II who will work with a team of experienced professionals to design, build, and maintain Linux systems in a mixed operating system environment (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) with primary focus on supporting computing needs of the organization. In addition to performing day to day system administration duties, the successful candidate will design, build and maintain tools and processes to cater to the growing and evolving needs of the Research and Clinical community of the Hospital. The individual must have the ability to adapt to new technology as we implement automation, containers and cloud services, including a transition to configuration management using Ansible. The candidate should have the ability to identify and solve problems in a proactive manner. Ability to work independently with good technical decision, judgement and minimal supervision is required. The selected individual must possess excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.

Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems with emphasis on Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Write shell scripts to automate system administration tasks, bash & python
Provisioning and configuration management tools, such as, Kickstart, Satellite, Puppet, Ansible
Manage daily work flows via ServiceNow and follow-up with clients
Employs storage multipathing using Logical Volume Manager or best practices

Minimum Education

Bachelor''s degree required

Minimum Experience

Four (4) years of experience of system administrator experience in system or network administration on in-house or comparable systems is required
Experience in a multi-vendor computer/network operating and application systems environment preferred
Experience in a biomedical research or academic environment preferred
Experience in Oracle or SQL Database Administration preferred
Experience with logical volume manager
