Job Description:
DB2 DBA Installing, configuring, and maintaining product based on specified requirements and product guidelines.
Performing routine database administration and performance tuning.
Planning and implementing back-up and recovery of databases.
Performing troubleshooting and resolving recurring problems.
Analyzing customer needs and ensuring solutions adopted are appropriate to meet such needs.
Performance Tuning - Work includes analysis of access patterns to determine indexing and buffering needs.
Lead a team made up of DBA, Sysprog, Sysadmin and Developers to identify performance challenges, devise corrective action, test and implement changes.
