Position: System Admin (DevOps)
Location: Waukegan, IL (60085)
Duration: 6 Months (Temp to perm)

Responsibilities:
Assists in the evaluation of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g., new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application program specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions.

Competencies:
Assists in the identification of business requirements and in devising system and programming alternatives and specifications. Familiar with SDLC methodologies; Studies and analyzes existing office procedures as assigned.
Prepares systems flow charts and logic diagrams to describe existing and proposed operations.
Codes, debugs, and documents programs. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualification:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at least two or more years’ experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires good analytical ability and communication skills.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related Engineering discipline
Applicant must have 2-3 years of IT experience focusing on infrastructure and application support in a DevOps model
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies, tools & Platforms
o AWS Tools Pipeline
o Puppet/Ansible/Chef/Jenkins/Git
o AEM – Adobe Experience Manager
o Apache
o MySQL
o Amazon Web Services
o RHEL - Red Hat Enterprise Linux
o Powershell
o Bash
o Python is preferred
Good to have Magento and Adobe CQ experience or exposure
Strong grasp of automation tools
Experience troubleshooting web application and web infrastructure preferred.
Candidate will be providing support for regulated systems requiring strict adherence to SDLC policies and procedures.
Experience in digital health marketing processes or similar regulated industries is preferred.
Responsibilities will include –
Applicant will serve as system administrator
Applicant will primarily be responsible for routine operational tasks
Applicant will work with application development team to troubleshoot reported production issues.
Applicant will maintain automation tools and scripts supporting code and configuration deployment.
Applicant will review change control documentation and ensure compliance to operating standards and procedures.
Applicant will regularly work with the business, onsite 3rd party IT suppliers, off-shore development team and Corporate IT team members.
Works to enforce and promote the standards and policies established by Architects.
Applicant will provide on-call support for Production workload, including:
Manage automated Maven build tasks for AEM code and config packages.
Performs code/config deployments using TeamCity continuous integration tool.
Manage AEM user/group permissions.
Manage EC2/RDS instances via SSH, Cloudformation, and AWS CLI.
Monitor infrastructure health with New Relic.
Troubleshoots errors pertaining to workload infrastructure including network, OS, AWS service, and AEM platform.
Continuously improve operation through coding, testing, and implementation of Powershell scripts, AWS RunCommands, and TeamCity integration.
Work with development team and architects to improve compliance and efficiency of deployment process.
Participate in design and architecture of new system features.
