Sybase Developer
Location: Tampa FL
Duration : 6-12 Months
Position Objective:
Sybase Developer is expected to work on CRs and projects, in a self-learning mode (research and analysis of code) would be needed to understand the system.
Expected also to perform tests (unit and IST) for self / peer''s development.
Knowledge of Java / J2EE / extjs desirable for future needs on project (not mandatory
Roles and responsibilities:
Work with business analysts/users to understand requirements.
Pre-analyze and estimate the cost of development
Perform detailed technical analysis with impacts (technical/functional) and server side and the database
Develop, test and provide support during implementation
Bug fixing & performance optimization (TSQL, stored procedures)
Own / develop expertise of the application and business area
Mentor and carry out code reviews of junior members on the team
Contribution to the project debriefs.
Strengthening of application knowledge of the offshore team
Skills
Excellent SQL skills
Sybase developer (hands-on)
Good hands on experience in writing and debugging Stored Procedures
Good exposure to Performance Tuning and best practices
Hands on experience on Sybase / SQL Server / Oracle (SQL queries, Transact-SQL, stored procedures, functions and database modeling)
Hands-on knowledge on Java/J2EE
