We are looking for Sybase DBA L3 at Princeton, NJ.
Mode: Contract
Duration: 12+ Months
Responsibilities and Duties:
Should have excellent communication skills.
Worked upon ASE 12.5 and above version and Replication Server 12.6 and above.
Worked on Sybase IQ.
Extensive experience on ASE and REP server build and migration from 12.5 to 15.x and 16.0.,patch upgrades.
Extensive experience on setup of different type of replication.
Performance tuning of ASE and REP server.
Extensive experience on DirectConnect database gateways between heterogeneous databases.
Extensive experience on Sybasease Kerberos authentication.
Knowledge of scripting and hands of knowledge of linux , AIX and Solaris.
Extensive experience on proxy tables in Sybase.
Extensive experience on Auditing and DBCC.
Extensive experience on DBCC, Reorg and index creation and maintenance etc
Creation of Devices, Databases, Segments.
Backups of databases & logs.
User account management.
Performing Recovery of suspected databases.
Refresh of Databases in replication as well non replication environment.
Transaction log management.
Troubleshooting Database error and performance Tuning.
Replication Server monitoring and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting includes check for the replication configuration, threads down, stable device full, RSSD log full, stop and restart threads, repagent and repservers.
