Storage/Vmware Admin
Location: Reston, VA
Duration: 10 months
Description:
The primary function of this Storage/Vmware Admin is to assist in Infrastructure operations, strategy and design of data center, systems and storage technologies. Candidate will provide guidance on the proposed installations and upgrades of hardware and software. Candidate will have profound knowledge and prior corporate experience, on configurations, allocations, and migrations in the following areas.

EMC VMAX-3''s, all flash,Xtreme IO, XIV,Pure SAN storage solutions NetApp FAS series,Cdot and EMC VNX NAS storage solutions Brocade SAN directors and FCIP routers Backup technologies on EMC Data Domain, IBM TSM and tape libraries Storage replication methods SRDF, SnapMirror,BCV, Time finder. Tool sets such as SMC, SPA, Unisphere, On-Command, ESRS, vSphere/vCenter, Vcops,VROPS Datacenter migration methods and disaster recovery implementations. Work with application developers to determine storage requirements. ESX VMware SRM Integration with EMC SRDF. Functional Knowledge of LDAP and Kerberos. work with customers(application Developers,production support analysts) to gather storage requirements. Work with system and Database admins to ensure storage is integrated properly into the systems. Respond to incidents including storage performance issues and storage failures. Oncall system. Familiarity with multipathing and volume management. Solid understanding on AIX, Linux, Solaris, and Windows Operating systems on physical and ESX virtual environments, Oracle, Sybase, SQL, DB2 databases, TCP/IP Networking. Veritas and native UNIX and Windows LVM software PowerPath and native UNIX and Windows multi-path software Adherence to corporate policies, rules and regulations
