You will be working for a systems integration company that has a large sized client in the Phoenix area that is in search of a seasoned storage administrator to fulfill their environments needs.
Duties may include the following:
Configure new storage systems (e.g. logical install / configuration)
Storage provisioning (e.g. creating volumes / shares, permissions configuration)
Monitor systems and respond to alerts (capacity / performance thresholds, system health, errors / alarms)
Respond to problem reports and troubleshoot configuration, performance, connectivity, or other issues
Coordinating with DC Operations for physical break-fix (e.g. drive, power supply replacement)
Work with vendors on support cases and RMAs
Create and maintain operational documentation
Backup capabilities
Capacity Planning (Evaluate/modify the long term planning of the organizations storage purchasing)
Experience with the following required:
Experience managing NAS and SAN platforms in a large enterprise
Configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting for NetApp (NAS) and EMC (NetWorker & VMax)
Linux host configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting - related to storage connectivity (e.g. NFS / SMB, FC HBAs, filesystems, etc
IP network configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting - related to storage connectivity (e.g. IPs / subnets, routing, LACP, etc
Experience with the following desired but not mandatory:
Hands-on storage back up
Capacity planning
