Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
Demonstrated experience with Storage/SAN.
Working experience with backups working within an environment running numerous complex backups.
Networker, NetBackup, Bare Metal Recovery experience heavily preferred, open to other tools that work within a complex backup environment.
Experience with storage virtualization, preferably VMWare but open to HyperV.
Mandatory Technical Skills
Support storage and backups for global environment.
Provide Veritas Netbackup , EMC Networker software administration support to include: software installation, testing, and integration of new backup software releases.
Install, test, and support Bare Metal Restore software in support of the distributed server backups.
Set up numerous backups within a complex environment utilizing Networker, NetBackup
Evaluate new tools for backups and bare metal recovery
Work within NetApp for storage and storage virtualization with HyperVisor level integration.
Administrate backups and storage for a global IT environment.
Respond to Service Manager incidents/tickets requesting the restoration of data from backup and snapshot images in the following timeframes, based on incident priority.
Follow written standards on properly handling data spills.Estimate the future growth of backup data when necessary.
Provide daily monitoring and management of data backups to ensure successful completion.
Provide data restore services as requested and/or required.
Provide statistic showing successful completion of data backups.
Maintain the current O&M environments, including any additional enclaves or products that may come on-line in support of any backup/restoration initiative.
