Requirement Detail/Qualification:

This engineering product configuration position requires the following requirements and experience.
As a member of the Product Configuration department, you should have knowledge in Engineering Database systems and able to configure customer Bill of Materials (BoM''s) and validate systems in (PLM) prior to sending to the Great Plains MRP system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Works closely with Engineers and Purchasing to enter, configure & validate BOMs, Engineering Change orders (ECs) and costing.
* Engineering Database / Product Configuration Management
* New Part/Document generation
* Control Bill of Material down to the component level and maintain approved vendor list (suppliers)
* Drive and facilitate the timely change, approval and release of documentation according to project schedules.
* Perform all aspects of complex engineering changes:
o Bill of material changes
o Document checking and archiving
* Monitor configuration management process effectiveness including the impact of changes.
* Process internal-customer change requests
* Maintain data hub between Engineering, Sales, Program Management, Quality, Purchasing, and Manufacturing
QUALIFICATIONS
* MUST HAVE: Lifecycle management system experience
* ARENA Product
* MS GP (Great Plains) ERP system
* A minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the electronic Contract manufacturing or design, and up to 7 years of experience - please do not submit candidates with 8 years or more experience.
* Knowledge of technical Library systems and Engineering Change control.
* Understanding of Change Control Boards
* Understanding of Sales Configurator
* Configuration Management Institute (CMII) Certification (CMII B, CMII C, or CMII A desired)
* Knowledge of industry standards
* Experience with global systems/processes
* Knowledge of inventory control and material-planning principals
* Knowledge of IMDS requirements (International Material Data System)
* Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
HS diploma or 2-year Technical Degree + equivalent experience and training.
Has worked in a Contract Manufacturing or Engineering Design department

COMPUTER SKILLS
Individual must be PC literate and have the aptitude to learn the operation of other computer systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and use of Engineering Database Systems (such as Agile, Infor PLM , Arena, Great Plains etc

Again - Experience with Microsoft Great Plains 2016 and Arena (PLM) required.
