Sr Websphere & MQ Support developer
Location: DC
Looking for a Senior IT Support technician with distributed applications support background. Primary area of support is MQ and WebSphere. MUST have SME level skills in MQ/WebSphere with IBM certification desired.
The MQ Web Services Senior support person will be providing 24X7 support and working with a team supporting ALL MQ usage across distributed and mainframe platforms. Will monitor and remediate MQ issues including but not limited to queue and topic message flows and recovering message traffic following errors. Will handle application migrations and MQ changes and tuning with IBM support.
Will provide support for JAVA/JBOSS applications that require monitoring and debugging when they fail. These applications interface with SQL and Oracle DBs so having experience in application DB usage is also desired. research and design technology solutions that may span the full spectrum of hardware and software, as it relates to SAP products. They may create prototypes and lead initial development or enhancement efforts and provide recommendations regarding technology. This individual concentrates on MQ infrastructure and configurations to insure they are correct and to identify any issues that might impact the operational effectiveness of the application suite. Provide assistance with escalated support issues, mentor others within technology-related areas, and provide subject matter expertise on project teams.
The MQ Web Services Senior support person can assume leadership responsibilities of specific efforts or technical tasks, and guide peers and more junior team members.
Local Candidates (Washington, DC) with travel possible to Wilmington, DE-Atlanta
Provide end-user training for MQ changes
Assist in release and project implementation, go-live and post-implementation activities
Identify areas of system optimization based on client usage and business processes
