Position Title: Sr Web Developer

Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing interactive and
responsive user interface (UI Creates user information solutions by
developing, implementing, and maintaining Internet/intranet applications.
The Design solutions must be innovative, industry-leading, and align with
brand standards and best practices for digital design, including
architecture, layout and navigation. Also responsible for creating
interactive and responsive User Interface.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design solutions that align with digital strategy and Airport
Technology goals.
Demonstrate user interaction with functional prototypes.
Work within an agile environment to design user centric
applications.
Design and build functional prototypes for applications across all
digital channels that can be tested in an airport environment
Monitor UI trends and propose best practices.
Produce deliverables such as screen layouts, user interface
elements, final assets.
Translate usability and field research findings into design
improvements.
Communicate design strategy and UX goals / rationale to key
stakeholders.
Collaborate with other teams to develop cross-product design
solutions.
Comprehend, communicate and adhere to American''s visual design
standards.
Attend required meetings and maintain open communication about
project status.
Understand Agile Methodology
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/training
At least 3 years of experience in web-based, front-end user
interface design on high-profile websites (e-commerce and/or travel site
experience preferred)
Proficient understanding of web markup which including HTML5, CSS3
Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms,
such as LESS and SASS
Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript
frameworks, including Angular JS2, bootstrap, Jasmine, JQuery, Java script
and any new technology is must
Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and
frameworks, such as Knockout JS, BackboneJS, React JS, Durandal JS etc. is
added advantage.
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page
updates, and AJAX
Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to perform small
adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is
a plus.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser performance and
compatibility issues.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git,
SVN
Good understanding of core Java, J2EE and spring framework.
Ability to write Java controllers Using REST, SOAP and do integration with
the underlying system.
Knowledge of responsive, adaptive and accessible design
Must be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment,
leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem
with a can-do attitude
Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, effectively
prioritize, manage change and customer expectations
Proficient with Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word, Excel,
Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to
effectively interact at all levels within the organization
Level is based on experience
Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies and formal business
analysis techniques preferred.
