Test Analyst

MUST HAVE SKILLS
6 years in testing
Expertise in Soap UI testing to test web services with request and response XMLs
Experience of database testing, Backend testing
Hand on experience in HP ALM tool for writing test cases, Executing, updating results, defect handling, Requirement Traceability Matrix
Good in test case designing, identifying test data needs and set up, testing techniques and test optimization methods
Strong knowledge in SOAP UI
Have strong knowledge in SQL and able to write queries
Knowledge in Basic Unix commands, including shell scripting
Good Communication and presentation skills
High preference for candidates with below additional skills
UFT experience, including frame work designing and VB scripting
Experience is automation script development from scratch
Secondary Skills
Knowledge of database testing, mainframe testing, validation of text, html, excel and other files through automation
Responsibilities
Prepare the Test plan/Test Strategy as per the requirements
Identify test data needs, Coordinate with Test Data teams.
Prepare the test schedules
Monitor the work of test analyst and ensure team members are providing the quality deliverables on time
Understand the project timelines and report the project status to Project managers
Design test scripts, positive and negative test cases, prepare Test data
Write SQL queries with Rapid SQL
Execute test cases
Raise defects in HP ALM, track till closure, mapping requirements to test cases
Communicate with development team on issues/ defects and communicate with business users for business related clarifications
Track Status of the testing thru ALM and Generate Metrics from ALM.
Prepare test results document, update test status in ALM
Conduct Test case, Test results walkthrough with business users
