Job Description :
Role: Provide support for Global Hosted Data Center services. Responsibilities include but are not limited to providing support for all Wintel, Linux and Unix machines.

Manage systems and storage dedicated to hosting of systems, data and related technologies within our corporate data center as well as remote data centers globally. This role will be a key contributor to the management and optimization of our overall data center service model. As a representative of the Data Center Team you will collaborate with our business partners to interpret their needs and design/deliver solutions to meet the business unit’s objectives.

Responsibilities:

Project planning and execution of team objectives for local and global data center(s

- Wintel hardware upgrades project planning for local and global data center(s (2 in the US, 1 China, 1 UK)

- Maintains and provides Wintel network technical support and configuration for TCP/IP protocols.

- Provides on going direction and technical support for the Wintel environments globally to assure cost effective computer operation.

- Evaluates, recommends, and implements the change, upgrade, or removal of current hardware or software systems.

- Works with appropriate business partners to evaluate, recommend, and implement the acquisition of new hardware or software as required.

- Recognizes and identifies potential areas where existing policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, and makes recommendations.

- Provides assistance as required to organizations outside of the enterprise to improve internal procedures that may be advantageous to the enterprise.

- Ensures security standards are being met, and takes appropriate steps when deficiencies are uncovered.

- Assists in DR design and exercise planning as requested.

- Remediates incident and services requests.

- Drafts operational documentation as required.

- Primary support for the following applications & hardware globally:

Microsoft System Center 2012
Configuration Manager ,Virtual Machine Manager, Operations Manager, Data Protection Manager, Orchestrator, Service Manager
Virtualization: Primarily Hyper-V 2012, VMWare 4.0 VCenter
Storage: HP 3PAR, Dell Compellent, HP StoreOnce
HP Blades and Chassis, Dell Servers (1500 – 1700 servers)

- Excellent working knowledge of Windows AD, DNS, HTTP/S, SSH, LDAP, PXE, DHCP, TFTP, (8000 users)

- Expectations of the role include but are not limited to:

Implement and manage large scale backup storage systems and infrastructure.
Build and configure Windows based virtual and physical (where required) servers.
Maintain continuous availability of the environment and contribute to improvement practices.
Perform infrastructure troubleshooting, resolve issues, and document solutions.
Make configuration changes to keep the infrastructure secure and reliable. Develop automation for routine processes.
Participate in data protection discussions with business users, provide input and make recommendations on solutions to support internal users.
Be a team player and participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements: - College Degree in computer science, information sciences or related field and 5-7 years of experience; or 7-10 years relevant experience.

- Exceptional knowledge of Wintel computer hardware & operating system(sWindows 2003, 2008, 2012)

- Experience with enterprise storage solutions is required.

- Experience with enterprise backup disk based solutions is required.

- Experience with Microsoft SCCM & SCOM is required.

- Experience in using advanced scripting skills; knowledge of automation and monitoring tools is required.

- Experience with RedHat Linux is a plus.
